Mystery transducer?

I have a transducer built into my Dell Arte Studio Hommage (bought used at a guitar show). Always assumed it was a BigTone, until I shimmed the bridge and saw no wires. Emailed John Kinnard who was helpful, but said it shipped without a pickup. Took it to McCabe's repair dept to check it out, they put a mirror thru the soundhole. Said they'd never seen anything like it. It's a single, small, black transducer stuck to the inside of the top near the bridge, shaped like a bowling pin. Passive, wired to the endpin/jackpoint (brass). Fairly low gain and feedback resistant and has a really good tone. You just have to crank the amp to get some oomph. Any clue to what brand this might be? :?:

Thanks Craig, that may be it. I'll have to have another look. From memory it was a thicker and the shape of an actual bowling pin. If it is a McIntyre, that could explain the low gain. They recommend a pre-amp.
