Jay, sorry, I might have missed something. My plan was to immerse the thing, sing it until I have every nuance (privately....a BIG threshold of fear for me, though I was a professionally trained Shakespearean guy, years of voice training under his belt....for acting....my wife thinks it's all in my head, but I'm grateful my dog's deaf!), then play the melody. When you say arpeggiate the chords, do you mean (presumably, after getting the simple melody line down) literally arpeggiate the particular voicings I'm using through the song, or do simple arp exercise runs (e.g., C Maj, B9, etc.) across positions?
