I've been admiring the sound and price of the Dupont Nomade for some time, and am wondering about its construction. I'm trying to picture the fretboard lifted off the body. Does the fretboard simply rest against the spruce sound board when it's bolted in place? Are there no problems with the fretboards warping , or creating a buzz from light contact? Or is it that they are so well fitted? Does it have a truss rod?
Would anybody care to explain these details, or even better show pictures of the neck detached.
Thank you.
Heretic.

I have never taken it off, but the fingerboard does appear to just rest on the top.
I have sold dozens of these over the years and have never had any reports of problems. Keep in mind, a bolt neck is generally considered a superior way to build a guitar. At this point, the older style glued on neck is more a function of tradition and aesthetics but is functionally inferior and more prone to problems than the more stable bolt on neck. I'm sure there are various opinions on this, but most luthiers I've spoken with seem to feel this way and I've never seen any problems with the bolt on neck whereas the traditional necks are constantly getting out of whack.
Yes.
