i'm currently upgrading the bridge on my Gitane D-500 (as well as numerous other mods i've done - totally stripped off polyurethane finish, upgraded tuners, and probable upcoming neck angle modification to attain greater string break angle at the bridge. my question is, is the Dupont bridge ($60) superior in construction, or overall sound improvement, to the lesser costly Dell Arte bridge ($36)? if so, can someone explain? i know it's not that much $$$$$ difference in the overall picture, but most everyone who discusses this subject seems to like the Dupont, or mentioning having a bridge made by Josh Hegg. just curious about the Dell Arte bridge. looks like it's made very well.
thanks,
