Recordings of Second Generation gypsy guitarists
Hey guys,
I'm trying to get a hold of some recordings of the old gypsy jazzers particularly the second generation players. I'm particularly interested in Lulu Reinhardt but I cant seem to find many recordings from him (besides one from the djangobooks archive). I'm trying to expand my "palette" if you will, and soak up the technique and style from the old school players. I'm quite familiar with early 1st gen. players of the Matelot Ferret, Baro, Crolla, etc. variety, but I am more interested in the second generation right after Django's death (early 50's to early 70's). If any of you would be kind enough to point me in the direction of some good CD's or an mp3 file, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
