Fitting clear plastic pickguard

Hi All,

I have a Latch Drom guitar that I'd like to put a clear pickguard on (I'm thinking this one: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Pickguards/ ... ns#details). The top of my guitar is textured with grain slightly, and I'm concerned this could have an effect on the application. Does anyone have any experience with this?

You might want to consider the removable kind, I like the Rokkomann guards. They have a nice high gloss finish and are completely removable. The material is a thicker version of the screen protector films used on smartphones. I have used them on some fairly rough vintage guitars that badly needed a pickguard and they look okay, better than a hole in the guitar top 8)

If you want to use the adhesive type, the Stewmac material is very good.
