I was wondering if exists a gipsy licks book in the style of "101 jazz licks" (Alan de Mause) where the licks are classified by chords (maj7 licks, dom7 licks, minor licks,...).
Exists any book like that?
You might want to check out Daniel Givone's method books as well (Michael has them here). Every lick/phrase in the book is based on one of 5 forms, which are chord shapes (E shape,A shape, G shape,D shape, C shape). then they're classified as major,minor,dom7th, dom7th in a minor key.
