Django's influence among Greeks, and Greek-Americans.

edited July 2012 in Welcome Posts: 2
Hello, I'm new to the forum, I thought it might be a good thing to point out Django's influence among Greeks, and Greek Americans, sometimes they even played Jazz with bouzouki! I'll post some recordings, my favorite of the group Bye Bye Blackbird by J. Halikias is just a quick snippet of a home recording, but is something else nonetheless.

nice music. i can see the gypsy jazz similarities, but it also strongly reminds me of golden age tango music !
