Stuff Smith is among my top 5 favorites of all time. He was a big influence on the Hot Club (Ise A Muggin'), Cab Colloway, Bob Wills and countless others. He swung hard, with humor and rhythm... with stuffed parrot on his shoulder and an old, ratty top hat and tails.
