I just received my copy of Gypsy Fire and must congratulate Andreas and Michael (and the editing team) on a superb book! As with the other Djangobooks Michael has produced, the quality is top notch and belongs in the library of every serious student of the style. Great job, guys!

The solos are all wonderfully done and have even more great riffs sitting inside them to be extracted!! Nice curvy riffs and very juicy stuff.
Thank you to all involved in its creation and looking forward to the sequels!!
**Also this is quite at introduction for me to Mr. Oberg's talent and incredible tone and technique. I'm saving pennies to get his albums at the local music store. Fantastic phrasing, tone, riffs, and all around GOOD stuff indeed. Cheers

My next project will be a book called "Gypsy Bop", focusing on some of the more modern phrases in GJ used by Django, Bireli, Angelo etc.
I've just started to work on this project so I might take some time before it's finished. Michael is focusing on his "Gypsy Rhythm"-book at the moment but after that we'll try to get this one out.
Except for "Andreas invites" and my own favourite "Young Jazz Guitarist", I can really recommend the cd with Hot Club de Finlande that I recorded recently. The CD can be ordered from aj@ajl-guitars.com and really displays my best GJ-playing so far..
Best Regards
Andreas
