Gypsy jazz instructor in the S.F.bay area?

Hello,does anybody know of a good gypsy jazz guitar teacher in the
San Francisco bay area?I live in the north bay and am willing to travel.

Not sure whether he still teaches, but Paul Mehling of the Hot Club of San Francisco is a possibility. I seem to recall a member here, "Tele295," did at least a lesson (perhaps more) with him, so she might have some insight. Other than that, here's a threadthat might guide. Good luck.

Doug Martin in San Carlos is excellent. He plays often in San Francisco - so you can probably check him out live. Also on YouTube. See http://www.dougmartinguitar.com.

There are a lot of good teaching materials, but a good live instructor is better yet!

Paul Gruen is another great teacher......patient, low key and plays some great improv. phrasing. He's thoughtful and cares about who he's teaching.......alhanati@aol.com.......JG

Hey man.

I live in San rafael, and I have taken from a few teachers out here. Paul Mehling is good, and lives in oakland. Paul Gruen is also good, and teaches out of the magic flute in San rafael. Doug Martin lives in Japan right now so that ain't happenning.
