One of the highlights of Samois/Samoreau a couple of years ago was waking up one morning to the sound of the most beautiful violin playing. I wasn't surprised at all to see Tcha sitting on a stump twenty feet from me creating all this beauty...awesome!!!

Wow, that would have been something, Newcastle. I've seen some Samois clips with him, but dying to get there live. Hope to make it next year.

Are you from Newcastle? I think Ian Bradford might have moved on, but if you ever head that way, say hi to Titanic Brewing, in Stoke on Trent!

It's Tony Ballog who plays the astoundingly beautiful violin on Petite Fleur, on the Sweet Home CD:

Oh, Charlie, I love that CD. I admit it's lame, but I rarely read CD material, and wasn't aware it's Tony. I absolutely love this CD. It's a road CD for my family and me, love Moldavian Folk Song (and so many others in related veins that Alfonso and Co. does - e.g., Mademoiselle de Bucharest, off of Caravan).

I miss Tony, would love to see him again.
