Wow -- I'd seen one or two of these tunes on YouTube, but never the whole thing. Thanks for the link!

I went through and annotated the names and positions of the songs in the video, for easy navigation -- http://www.soundslice.com/yt/E0FnBTGcZwQ/

    Adrian,

That is one hell of an application. One of yours?

(Couldn't get half speed to work - but when it does, this is the work-a-song-out-from-YouTube app to beat 'em all!!!)

Thanks! Yes, I made it and am intent on making the best possible tool to learn music from YouTube videos. :)

Sorry the half-speed wasn't working -- would you mind telling me which browser were you using, and are you on a Mac vs. PC? If you'd like to see it in action, try using Google Chrome, as I'm confident it definitely works in that browser (knock on wood).

Firefox 6.0.2 on OSX 10.6.8 - same issue, but happy to use Chrome.

It is indeed awesome; particularly given that it is alphaware. I've been dinking with it for a while now and it works well - not a single browser freeze yet and it doesn't even seem to choke on Youtube's long videos which must be streamed differently because they regularly cause me problems when I view them directly, particularly if I attempt to fast-forward by dragging the bar or adding a time-index (t=xxx) to the url to modify the start time upon refresh.

Man... I hope you're protecting your concept & code, because this is cool enough to where some big company is going to eventually see it and want it - and you know how those guys think: "Take now and pay after the judge has ruled."
You get one chance to enjoy this day, but if you're doing it right, that's enough.

Adrian, I don't get any sound when I use Safari, only Firefox. You probably are aware of this, but in case you aren't...

<mock_outrage>And if I was to say Ubuntu 12.04?</mock_outrage>

I'll try Chromium (Linux-friendly Chrome) & see if that helps, could be a limitation in the Flash plugin for Linux which has been playing catchup to the other two for years now.

Can do it in Windows as have a dual boot system but would be nice to see the open-source hippies catered for as well if the API is up to it!

    Cheers, A

Hey, I used Linux-on-the-desktop for years, so I hear ya 100%. The issue with slowdown not working in Firefox is actually a bug on YouTube's end, but I'll harass them about it.
