Guitar case malfunctioning zipper...

Has anybody else ever dealt with this problem? On my guitar's zippered case, the little inch-long 'handle' keeps falling off the zipper, even though I've put it back on there several times using needle-nose pliers to squeeze it shut tight.

So now it's pretty hard to scoot the 'slider' along without any handle, and I'm afraid that the slider itself is going to be the next thing to bite the dust.

Anybody ever successfully replaced either a slider or an entire zipper?

Yeah, I just tied a loop of leather from an old shoe lace onto the slider, not Ideal but it does the job.

The leather is much more elegant than my solution: paper clip.

I used a split ring and then i put a tiny key chain light on the ring. Useful and easy to grab. Not good for flying though. Air travel = leather
