Pick Test Thoughts

I spent a little time this am starting to think about testing the picks I have.

The picks that I have are

Wegen - Trimus 350 and 250 Fatone 350 GP 250 and a Big City 1.8

Blue Chip 80 and 60 (approx 2mm and 1.5mm) custom made with points as per their TP pick

Like a big city after 3 months of lots of picking and a slightly different bevel by eye.

I would love some input as testing. I am thinking of very basic picking on the strings at Fret 7. and a short rhythm piece like a II V I or some such. and maybe a chord single line melody section for expressive play.

Any thoughts gentlemen ....... errrrrr :? .....hmmmmmm :?: why are there no ladies playing GJ guitar on this site .....where did we go wrong. :oops:

Chain will be stereo micd MXL 603 into ART MPA gold tube preamp into Tascam 8 track digital recorder. The digitizer circuitry is just OK but its all I got for now. I think it may be best to put the tracks in a dropbox so people can download and play uncompressed.

I am thinking one mic super nearfield to try and pick up pick noise and nuance and the other in a normal nearfield position.

I think we are in a situation like the beloved Church of England. We are waiting for the vote on the acceptance of women bishops, twenty years after the ordination of the first women priests.
