String notch slippage

Is slippage a word....lol...so i have a gitane d500, and i love it...i used to have a 250m, and i hated that guitar(feel and sound). The problem im having is that the low e string is slipping out of the notch on the bridge, looks worn on one side...should i deepen the notch...would i have to compensate the action with a shim..everything is perfect right now the guitar sounds a plays amazing...i would hate to wreck that vibe. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can try to "rebuild" the notch by filling it with a drop of crazy glue or epoxy in the notch. Let it harden good and reshape the notch.
