Just want to say, after all the time I've owned this book, I'm finally at a point where I feel I can dive into its more advanced concepts. Hearing the various songs anew, truly keyed by this work. Thanks, Michael, for such a monumental effort. Years inside those pages.

  • Paul, isnt it wonderful when those epiphanies happen?

It is, Jay. And I find the process interesting....not sure if this is everyone's road, but I seem to come to these as a kind of "punctuational evolution".....hours upon hours, weeks and months of slogging through the mud, peppered by occasional bursts of merciful clarity...I know I'm nowhere mastering just a simple accompaniment ability, tone and rock-solid beat, but still, yes, very cool to hear this stuff in a way I hadn't before.
