    Michael, I think I dimly remember reading a review of this book in Strings magazine a couple years ago. If I remember correctly, this is more like trad Rom stuff rather than GJ. Anyway it was well recommended.

    That's true, but a lot of these songs can inform stylistic choices.

    Right you are, Kevin. Not intending to diss the book as unworthy, just to point out for those looking to learn gypsy jazz, this is something related but not-exactly-jazz. That said, I think for me, I would get a copy for the tunes and the added layer of "soul" that it might add to my playing. I think Ms. Harbar has another, more in-depth gypsy tunes book, which I'm also planning to get sometime soon.
