I haven't seen much in the way of tour dates or new music from Angelo. Anyone know what he's doing these days? Hopefully doing well.

Spoke to him last month. He is doing very well! He does not play often in Paris at cafes much (sometimes @ Le Saint Jean or Atelier Charonne) anymore but, plays quite a bit of big venues with his group. Here is a link to his management where you can see his upcoming gigs. Hope that helps.

Thanks. He seems like a very unassuming guy - and does not seem to get as much credit as Bireli or Stochelo. But I can't get enough of his playing. Glad to hear he's doing well.

Thanks for the update on Angelo. I listen to him play every morning while I have coffee. A great way to start one's day.

I've been really enjoying this show lately:

If there are any UK users here Angelo and I are supposed to be playing together at the Gypsy jazz festival of Britain this summer....

Is that the new one by London? As opposed to Gossington.

    Tommydavy,

Thanks for the update. There is something about Angelo's playing that I can't get enough of. It seems like he doesn't get the attention that Stochelo or Bireli get. But I think he's the man. Maybe some day I will make it to Paris and catch him live or to a festival where he might give a class. It seems that he speaks mostly French so I suppose I would have some language staudy to do before that! By the way I love the youtube rendition of Czardas with Luanne Homzy. Very nice. Will definitely buy the album when it comes out.

Here is a relatively recent siting of Angelo:

The fellow whose finger tips keep falling off offers moments of levity in this engaging number
