    TBH at the moment my Tricone is set up for dobro playing - in this part of the world you can get p*ssed off pretty quick with the same old 'You play "Romeo and Juliet"? Mark Knopfler, he genius'-style requests...

    Thanks Jazzaferri! That's kinda what I would have hoped. If your careful you get the full set of options. I guess I get the basic set up as you described but couldn't know if a palm would have somehow a much greater effect than on other guitars. Your answer says basically it can be done but experience required.
    I'd love to have that sound to work with.

  • Its a great sound for sure. I am still undecided on a metal body tricone National or a wood cutaway single cone reso from Rayco.

    Wish I could afford both.
