Local Gypsy Jazz and Swing band Ranger and the ‘Re-Arrangers’ invite the Seattle to help celebrate the release of their third CD, “Rêverie”. The band will perform live versions of all the songs on the album, and copies of the new CD will be available for the first time ever. Admission is free!
The album mixes intriguing gypsy melodies and upbeat swing songs with the band’s original compositions and a few fun covers, including the smooth French ballad “Si Tu Savais”, a sultry bossa nova version of “Besame Mucho”, and 50’s Jazz-Pop hit “Mr. Sandman”.
“We think that Rêverie has our best work yet”, says bandleader Ranger Sciacca. “The sound is clear and crisp, and there is so much variety—some songs are fast and bouncy, some slow and enchanting, and the band plays different instruments to fit those different moods.”
