(first time i write the words "pick callus" together, it sounds like some 80s porn actor name)
anyway, sorry for the introduction - i´m just curious: do you get an awfully ugly callus in your index finger from holding the pick? mine is terrible and doesn´t go away. maybe it´s just me - so i thought of asking here.
thanks,
miguel.

Maybe you are holding the pick too tightly if yours is really big???
Where my index finger really gets it is the nail. It has a flat spot worn in it from brushing the strings. It doesn't seem thin though so I don't know if it is worn off flat or if it has just gotten bent down.
35 mm!
Mein Gott in himmel
I'm surprised you haven't sawed your guitar in half
I play every day but not THAT many hours so maybe if you are really putting time in it does create a bigger callus.
Don't know if it is from picking, could be........ I have a bunch of callouses on the ends of my fingers on the left hand so....if it is...they have company
i don´t practice enough, not by a mile... maybe 45 mins/day max (when my sons lets me...) but i do tend to play with the pick a lot (i always have a couple with me) wherever i go...
anyway, thanks for the input guys!
