Jam in Paris? August 2013

Hi all,
I've been thinking a lot about the best way to learn gypsy jazz and have come to the conclusion that I need to get to Paris! So currently the plan is to arrive there and stay as long as my extremely limited budget allows! Hopefully this means the whole of august (staying in hostels/couch-surfing/wherever I can). I'm even taking a tent with me! 8)
So just wondering if anyone will be around to have a jam, or does anyone know any specific places to check out etc etc.
Any info you guys can give me would be hugely appreciated!
