EDIT: 80% of the OP 's text is now missing, so my post may seem weird as it was a reply to what was originally written... I'll leave it as is...

Man this is crazy shit.... I know both Michael and JP personally, and totally don't want to get involved in any of this but I can only see this ending poorly for both sides...

I guess this post is a reaction to what JP posted on his site which I will not link here... I've told him to be careful about publishing private emails on his site, but he went ahead anyway.

I ve already told both parties that I would not take sides and get in the middle of this so I hope M and JP can sort this out before it gets out of hand...

Everyone knows M but no one knows JP; I have to admit he is very opinionated and aggressive in his approach which I've told him to be careful with; but he's always been nice to me and generous with people who have dealt with him in the instances that I was able to witness (he lives 5 minutes away from me so I go over to his place regularly).... I am very sorry that you have had issues with him... Like I said hope it all works out for everyone...

Look, I have never met this dealer, and he may be the nicest person on earth, but I've had a couple of people contact me about guitars for sale in Montreal, and let's just say, by the dealer's own admission, his guitars are not always what they seem. There are only two dealers in North America that I do business with for gypsy guitars: Michael at Djangobooks and Jacques at Gypsy Guitars. There is a reason...
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

fair enough! I ve never bought guitars from him simply because I m not a really guitar nut; i just like playing them haha

Of course, i buy all my GJ related stuff from djangobooks so really i'm not interested in choosing sides

I do want to say something about JP though; my only business relationship with him is that I give him guitar lessons and he often asks me to try his guitars and asks my opinion... I'm always honest with him (and everyone else) , and I told him that he can quote me so long as everything is in the proper context and truthful.

Anyway, for anyone who's ever taken guitar lessons with me, I charge by the hour, and I don't actually count the hours; i end the lesson when I feel the student understands what needs to be done; as such I've had one hour lessons last up to 3 hours!!! and the student always paid for one hour... The very first time I met JP, he came for one hour, and we ended up having a 90minute lesson, he is the only person in my professional career to have ever insisted on paying for 90 minutes of my time... and he has done so every single time.

Like I said, I hope both sides can resolve their issues without having to bring this out to the public, because it'll just end badly for both

Dennis, you are an incredibly classy guy and you are nice to a fault. I'm glad that you're sticking up for your friend, but if you really want to do him a favor, sit him down and tell him to chill out. He's shaking his fist at the world and picking fights with good people - and it doesn't seem to be doing him any good.
You get one chance to enjoy this day, but if you're doing it right, that's enough.

Bob, it sounds like Denis has tried that. Some people just don't listen.
