A brief introduction and hello.
Howdy Folks, its me Al Watsky !
Well it worked for Mini Pearl.
Just taking a moment to drop this pebble in the pond.
To introduce myself and say hello.
I'm a professional guitarist and repair/restoration specialist in the North East USA.
I've been playing for about 50 years. Lots of everything, general business , Jazz and Funk, classical and flamenco , for the last 10 years or so lots of Klezmer , Yiddish and Hasidic music.
I've been repairing for about 26. I've worked for corporations, institutions and individuals. An ongoing trade. I'm a busy guy.
Come to the GJ thing through its connections to G/Rom culture and , most directly Eastern European music. All that Russian, Hungarian , Moldovan and Jewish music.
I've also known and played American Jazz for about 40 years. Attended several conservatories and even graduated from one, with a diploma in classical guitar.
GJ guitars are wonderful ! Sort of a steel strung classical guitar to my way of thinking but designed to play acoustic Jazz.
A great vehicle for a jazz musician that would like to play a powerful acoustic instrument in the context of a string band.
Anyway, if I post and your curious thats who I am. Hope to exchange ideas with all you folks.

For those of you who don't know Allen, he has been doing some wonderful restoration work on a number of vintage Favinos. Great to have people out there taking good care of these rare and beautiful vintage instruments!
