On the zaiti ensemble website there is this video : http://www.ensemblezaiti.com/data/cherokee.wmv

And here is a riff Sebsatien plays in his improvisation before starting the tune..
I don't know what chord this can be played over, but this lick is great. :
--------------------------------------------
-3-4-5-6-5-4-3------------------------------
---------------5-4-[3]---2-3-5----------------
-----------------------------[4]--------------
----------------------------------5---------
------------------------------------[4]----3--
All notes are eighth except notes between brackets which are quarters.

well... while we're talking about Seb... here's one he did at the Taverne de Cluny when i filmed him in Paris hehehehe

all triplets (fast) , i modified some of the notes toward the end to make it more triplet friendly

    used over C7
e-6-5---------------------------------------
    b------8-7-6-5-8-7-6-5-----------------------------
    g-------------------------6-5----------------
    d------------------------------8-5-----------
    a-----------------------------------7-------
    e-------------------------------------9-8-7-6--
he seems to use this fairly often or at least a variation of it....

man ever since i got back i've been transcribing these guys, lots of awesome ideas!
