Thanks for those! I'd never heard him play. The article was a good read as well. One question: Is this true? Or maybe I mean: Did people really not know who he was?
"because he felt his playing was not up to his former glory, Maccaferri performed wearing a mask and billed himself as “The Unknown Guitarist.”
It reminds me of the Santo (masked wrestler/crimefighter) movies from Mexico-an article I read years ago went into detail about how seriously he took the mask...he even had one with a larger mouth slit for eating on the set...
