Thought it would be of interest to list GJ recordings that feature 2 lead guitarists...please add to the list...I didn't name the records as I don't know them all and in the case of Ferret Bros there's too many!
Off the top of my head here's who I come up with:
Adrien Moirgnard & Gonzalo Bergara
Angelo Debarre & Moreno
Boulou & Elios Ferre
Andreas Oberg & Jimmy Rosenberg
Lulu Reinhardt & Hansche Weiss
Bireli Lagrene & Sylvain Luc
Olivier Kikteff & Benoit Convert
Selmer 607
Bireli Lagrene & Stochelo Rosenberg
Fapy Lafertin & Lollo Meier
Angelo Debarre & Tchavolo Schmitt
Comments
Adrien Moignard and Benoit Convert play together frequently
I like this two guitars trading solos format, either as a trio with a bass, or just two guitars duet.
Being short on instruments, lack of variety can be a downside of this format. Being able to clearly hear a difference between the players helps, the more contrast, the better. So, to me, Frank & Jimmy, Bireli & Sylvain Luc, Adrien & Gonzalo, for instance, are the more interesting in the duet format. I like how they approach their solos differently and their tonal differences.

If anyone tells you Jimmy is just a shredder, point em to Endless Love at 33:40.
Agree - he definitely 'aint a shredder...also check out his heart-felt ballad playing on
"Bei Dir War Es Immer So Schon" from 'The Django Reinhardt New York Festival Live At Birdland' CD. Simply stunning!
Archtop-Selmer mix:
Feigeli Prisor & Eddy Grünholz - Gypsy's heart
Ziroli Winterstein & Vano Bamberger - Love letters
Django Deluxe - Wilhelmsburg
Even with 3 solo-guitars:
Andreas Oberg invites Yorgui Loeffler & Ritary Gaguenetti
Latches( Yorgui Loeffler, Steeve Laffont, Chris Campion)
Les enfants de Django( Yorgui Loeffler, Samson Schmitt, Mike Reinhardt on Archtop)
Live at Les Nuits Manouches( Loeffler, Laffont, Fays)
Not all CD's are easy to find, but definitely worth to listen.
I also really dig the playing of
Lulu Reinhardt & Rino Van Hooijdonk

cool guitar that Lulu's playing! Wonder if that's one that Rino built? They're on my wish list for DFNW.
Adrien Moignard + Rocky Gresset: "Entre Actes"

Michael is out of stock for this
I must say I was floored Stochelo & Romane seemed to be having the best time.
I wish I understood French I couldn't find any sub-titles but it played which was good.
