Django followers of those years are all (Aleman included) moreless 10 years late in fact they play in the late forties - moreless- as Django did in the early thirties.
I find Oscar’s style more relaxed than Django’s, not as athletic or dramatic or virtuostic...
.... but possessed of a wonderful light touch and an innate sense of swing...
... and every now and then Oscar comes out with an unexpected little phrase that will grab you like a hook,
... like the wonderful two-triplet phrase in the bridge over bars 21- 22... it’s not hard to play, either, check it out... it’s one of the few out-and-out “lifts” I use when I play this tune on my occasional solo gigs using backing tracks...
People seem to recognize the tune and and always like it.

Paul Cezanne: "I could paint for a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing."
Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."
