thx

    i found this site very helpful in paris -

    http://www.parisjazzclub.net/

    so last week, when i was there Samy Daussat was playing at the atelier charonne on tuesday; i went, but he was sick and replaced by Gwen Cahue;
    thursday Rodolphe raffalli played, and i left town on friday and went to the quecumbar and saw stu blagden, but angelo debarre was playing on friday, moreno on Saturday and Adrein Moignard on Sunday all at the Atelier Charonne;

    back stateside this week
    Cahue was great - i do not know who he was playing with - one other guitar player and they clearly had not played together much if at all. set list was made up on the fly. so that made it interesting.
    barkeep told me he was "le meme ecole" as Daussat, which i wouldn't have quite said; but he is a very good player
    this is a tune i like alot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_3x-PAhiLY

    la meme ecole ... the same school (style of playing?). i'd have said his style reminds me more of adrian (moignard) than sammy.

    yes that clouds vid is my #1 favourite patrus vid. they did vipers dream also, which was great too.
