Hi again,

Here's a video of a rehearsal I had today. It's a band I've put together to record some original tunes of mine, including the very intense waltz we're playing here, "Waltz (for the Argentine string company)". Not %100 yet in this take, but getting there. Sorry about the sound - which is average camcorder at a distance quality - and the music stand blocking my left hand which is preventing you from seeing the full extent of my mistakes.

In the end, the later iterations of the A section will be partially improvised/embroidered to bring some variety to them, and the accordion solo section will probably go for longer to give him a bit more space.

Hope you like it. It's pretty loud and chaotic, but also energetic and fun. It's about breaking strings.

Jon

    That was beautiful!

It's really refreshing to hear someone go for the powerful Tchavolo-esque sound in this era when everybody want to copy Birelis Hahl sound.

To me, the power and passion is what gypsy jazz is about.
I liked the intensity in the waltz. Despite the recording quality, the sound projects well which I suspect is a combination of Busato and good right hand technique.

Looking forward to hearing the finished product, recorded in a studio. I'll buy the record!

Thanks guys :) I'm really glad you liked it. More to come soon. Writing compositions inspired by the sound of the Titi Winterstein Quintet, and some of Romane's writing for Tchavolo. Such strong music.
