identifying rare recordings

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this but since Ted seems to be an
"underground" guru, i thought this might be appropriate.

I have a number of out of print/rare recordings that I would like to identify (name of album)

I have two Tchan Tchou's:

Guitare Party and another one which I cannot identify, it's 10 tracks and starts with Sweet Georgia Brown. Any help would be appreciated

I have a Dorado Schmitt CD, the 4th track is Django's Tiger

Joseph Reinhardt - 12 tracks, starts with Nuages , ends with Menuet

Bamboula Ferret - the one where he sings with Fapy on guitar. is there a name for this album?

thanks Ted or anyone else who can help me out!

Dennis, there are two recordings of Fapy with Bamboula. One is "Oe Djoevia."

    Cheers,

The other is "Me am kolle marsch." You're on your own as far as translation. :-)

That'd be "Oe Djoevia." Fapy's playing on both recordings is impeccably elegant and tasteful IMHO.

    thanks ted and ando!

about the dorado, the guy who gave it to me told me it was dorado, but he doesn't have the track listing and the only tune i recognize is django's tiger, it's the 4th track

    11 tracks in total

it sounds like dorado to me (could be wrong though)... he plays some electric on it too

the 7th track is a short solo guitar tune harmonized by a second guitar

judging from the sound quality , it seems to be from a vynil to cd transfer.

    any help would be appreciated

    thanks again

    Hola,

Can anyone id this from the track list? Tracks (Piste) 7,8,11 & 16 are not identified either. It sounds like the mikes are being moved around in the studio while they are playing and at times even seem to knock the guitars.

    01 Milko
    02 Solenzara
    03 Un Gamin de Paris
    04 Swing des Puces
    05 Comme Ils disent
    06 Les Deux Guitares
    07 Piste 07
    08 Piste 08
09 Les Amants de La Saint Jean
    10 Besame Mucho
    11 Piste 11
    12 L'homme a la moto
    13 La Valse A Bamboula
    14 Mourir d'aimer
    15 Ce n'est rien
    16 Piste 16

    Merci
    Laurent

Is there a way you could post one track? The listing isn't familiar, but I suspect if I heard it I could tell you who it is.

I would be happy too, but can't seem to find a way to that....Perhaps I am missing something.

what about my dorado album ?

Here are a couple of older vinyl titles of Dorado's:

    Hommage à la romanes (vinyl) 1983 / Leico Records / LC 7707
Notre histoire (vinyl) 1986 / Blue Flame / LC 8593

Perhaps its one of those. Sorry, I don't know anything else about them.

    Ted,

I have heard the tracks that Laurent is trying to identify and I can't tell who it is - they're not great, and the style is pretty rough - I'll send you some Mp3s if you want.
