Wow, that's a good deal for a nice sounding instrument.

Good thing I didn't see it before it sold.....

I have one just like it which I really like for rhythm but the single notes are not that loud. Possibly a new bridge???

    thanks

I have a Patenotte 260 and when I changed the bridge the volume also got better.

also seems to play and sound better with lighter strings.

PM me I have a new bridge with mustaches I could let go of for cheap.

    Hey John,

I'll measure the height of my bridge and send you a PM.

    Thanks!

    John,

My bridge is .66" high at the low E and .60" high at the high E.

Please let me know how high your bridge is.

BTW, my bad, mine is a model 256 which looks like the same woods as the 254 but different fret markers (abalone 'block' inlays).

I have 11's Argies on it right now and it sounds awesome for rhythm (really dry) but seems to be holding back a bit on single notes (still nice and dry but not 'cutting' enough). The taller bridge might help that but the action is about right now and no truss rod to adjust. I'm starting to think maybe the taller bridge and 10's???

    Thanks
