No problem guys, I just hope this comes in handy as a valuable resource. I've always appreciated the open exchanges of information on this website and hope that we can continue to share and pool our resources together. If it wasn't for these resources on this website in particular I know I'd have no outlet to discuss the finer points of Selmer luthiery with those in the know .

Man that's a brilliant bit of work. I have sore fingers this morning
I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell
Hi John, thanks for the thought. I actually ended up buying 2 bridge/mustache piece sets from some obscure eBayer in China for something like $3.00 including shipping...so basically free by the time they arrived 8) . Funny thing is they are actually really good quality rosewood bridges after some needed dremel work to reshape them...and the mustache pieces were excellent too.
Shawn you are one of those legends that turns up at the right time. Ive been working on After you've gone solo from he Rome sessions which to some may be repetitive in phrasing etc but to me its a great little solo. I worked out the way too fast arpeggio run painstakingly by recording it and playing back quarter speed! It will be nailed!!! ( I think i may have had too many notes anyway)
Thanks for all your work and generosity.
and to Django if there is a parallel universe where you still exist pop in for coffee and explain if it was sweep picking or just gypsy-ninja speed.
1.32 seconds into Rome solo of after you've gone after the cool C run to A7
Heres my addition to Shawns 'After you've gone' Rome transcription. I've been obsessed with this little 8 bar chord run and have taken a few pointers from Shawn and stuck it into Sibelius. I'm finding more and more its the fact that the fake book chords are sometimes off that leads me astray in working out the arpeggios. Anyway this is only a little eight bar thing that has inspired the hell out of me so for anyone else have a go. Any of you Django heads who already do this feel free to shoot me down but I'm hoping I'm accurate. Now i just need to practice the hell out of it. either way the journey continues...
