Babik's signature?

Hey all -

My mom in law got me a copy of the book Django's Gypsies, by Ian Cruickshank.



Very few copies available, I think? At least that's my recollection, but then I was completely gobsmacked, came across this, a page with Babik Reinhart's intro. Lo and behold:



Anyone? This completely missed my parents in law. If it's authentic, this schoolboy can't believe I am looking at ink signed by Babik, his own master, and son to the Master. I'm quite moved. Can anyone tell me - is this Babik's signature?

Did you find out if the signature is real. I have the same book with what look like the same autograph. I was trying to verify if it is real but it looks exactly like yours. I am guessing they were preprinted in the first edition of the this book. The date is 1994. Any feedback.

It is in my copy also and it is obviously pre-printed and not an original. It will be Babik's signature though.

8-} ...... I've just remembered, I saw Ian Cruickshank's mock-up of this book before it was published and the original of that signature was in it.
