Any suggestions for music venues (to listen) in Krakow or Prague end of April, beginning of May?

Hi:

I will be in Krakow, Poland ~ April 28-30 and Prague, Czech Republic ~ May 1-2. (2014)

Any suggestions for listening venues? If not 'gypsy', other jazz?

If you make it up to Poznan there is always the mighty Zigzag Paradise (https://www.facebook.com/ZigzagParadiseBand) - if the sun's out, of course.

As for Krakøw, the GJ scene there as here verges on the non-existent but keep your eye out for the Klezmer festival which is about that time. Kroke and Krakow Klezmer Band are names to look out for if no festival.

Also, get yourself to Kazimierz (the former Jewish quarter) which has experienced a cultural rebirth over the last 10 years. Plenty of restaurants there with live klezmer trios - yes it's for the tourists, but it's klezmer, so it doesn't matter
