Impressive! You have (had?) a very eclectic taste.
Is it an optical illusion or the plastic Mac looks like it has a super small scale compared to the L7.

The plastic Mac is not a full sized guitar. The L7 has a 17" body size.
How's the volume on the Gibson L7?
Do you know any of the history of the guitar, repairs, non original parts?
Haven't seen many Block inlay fretboards, I thought they were more of a 30"s thing. Eddie Lang had an Block inlay L5
Is there a label you can photo?
Thanks

The L7 is just like an L5 without all the fancy stuff. Sounds the same.
Carved top and carved back.
Not as loud as a good Gypsy jazz guitar but almost.
It's from 1946 ( white oval label ) Serial number in the A serie with 3 digit.
In the 60's the fretboard was change for an ebony one. . I have a replacement fretboard ( with fret, binding, etc..)
It is the reason why I am letting it go for that price. It is a great guitar.
Never broken, cracked or anything..
