Twelve-bar blues in G minor. This is Frank Anastasio's opening chorus on the superlative "Gypsy Guitars" with Angelo Debarre and Serge Camps. Simple and clear:
As things start to heat up, Anastasio provides a nice walking line to increase the energy -- but when Angelo starts burning full throttle, Frank lays back with half-notes and some transitional quarters, the better to let Angelo burn in all his glory. Class-act bass playing, all the way through.
BTW, that a-flat in bar eight is delayed a little and gets a hard accent.
