Ultrafaux - Original Gypsy Jazz from Baltimore, MD

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post this on behalf of my friend and Django mentor Michael Harris. His new group Ultrafaux has released a fantastic record of original gypsy jazz tunes. The band is currently comprised of Michael and Sami Arefin on guitar, and Eddie Hrybyk on bass. I started listening to the tracks before I met Michael, and it has been in constant rotation since I bought a copy. Anyone in the Baltimore area should check them out live, it's always a great time!

They play in the Baltimore region almost weekly (not this week because of DiJ!), but I really think that you'll enjoy the show. I work up in Harford County; even on a weeknight the drive into Baltimore isn't too bad.
