    did you try a ground lifter?

    I'm curious to the amp you are using with the Guzz as I have one on the way and have a few amp options.

    Swingnation, did you try the phase switch on the Baggs?

    @Scoredog- there was no ground lifter around. It's an old school NY building. Probably not up to code and I'm sure they are not supposed to have music there either. But its'a gorgeous art deco space. Amp is AER 60-2. Lot's of guys will give you there two cents on this amp or that amp, but for gigging in NYC, you can't beat the weight and sound of an AER. Don't know too many guys around here that don't use one actually.

    @klaatu- yup, tried that too.

    Thanks for the info @swingnation

    Great to hear an honest review from someone who has experience with it.

    From what Michael is saying then about the Guen pickup having a high output, but also giving you a warm clean tone with the correct amp settings or the Django style. It may well have the edge over the Guzz. Price is pretty much the same too.

    The magnetic clip system sounds interesting too.

    Just need to hear it now.

    I still think the Guzz sounds great. I spoke with Robin Nolan, he has both the Series I and II and recommends them. Didn't mention anything about hum issues or low output either. I believe you @swingnation don't worry :)

    @Scoredog

    Another good sample of the Guzz pickup used through a Gretsch Valve amp here to get you in the mood for your new pickup :)

    Thank you ever so much.

    I'm guessing that was through an acoustic amp?

    It sounds like you can also hear the guitar acoustically too? if not, that's a great pickup for getting a natural, if slightly archtop sound.

    I like it a lot.

    Yes, it was recorded through an acoustic amp. There is probably some of the acoustic sound of the guitar coming through as well.
