Cool compliment

Playing in a local market today in my duo with Robert Dukarm (violin). We finish Si Tu Savais and Frank Vignola comes up with his kids, introduced himself, and says we sounded great and it was good to hear Djamgo's music being played. Made my day, and Robert's once I told him who Frank Vignola is.

Frank is very good friends with my jazz guitar teacher, and he really is a humble, nice guy. He just happens to be one of the best musicians on the planet! Frank loves Django, so for him to give that compliment must mean a great deal to you, and I'm sure it is well deserved!

I remember Frank back in the 70's when he was a teenage banjo prodigy... awesome talent!

Congratulations, Jay, that's a compliment to treasure forever.

Frank is a wonderful man and a very fine guitar player indeed. Still feeling the glow this morning but it will fade soon, don't want it to going to my head. Thanks for your kind words guys.

@pickitjohn I am on a rhythm kick in guitar right now so I am playing the DuPont exclusively at this point. The midrange punch and clarity have caused me to change a number of chord voicings I use to take advantage of that clarity. I am really loving this guitar and the neck is just perfect for my hand. The dot on the 10th fret gave me a few dizzy moments at first when my muscle memory and visual memory were out of synch but only on a few tunes thankfully. Went away quickly by conciously telling myself to trust my muscle memory.

Jazzaferri - thanks for the invite! My wife is from Plattsburgh NY, so we tend to go to Quebec when up north. Maybe we should venture out west!
