I think I've owned 5 or 6 Godin's so far, and will say that they are a lot of guitar for the money. I've been really happy with all of them. I most recently owned two of their semi-hollow Montreal guitars (one with Bigsby and one without). Just a great guitar.
BTW: The other point of interest is his amp. Like in this video, he is often seen playing through a real basic Roland acoustic amp (same one I use). And although I've played that same guitar through some nice Fenders (really nice tone with that combo) I found it interesting to see him still playing it through the Roland (I would like an AER, but that is the same amp I use with my acoustic as well).
You can see a number of people on that same YouTube channel borrowin or uusing that same guitar. I love that he simply doesn't seem to care what he's playing, but rather it's more just about the fact that he's playing and about how he's playing. Love it!
AD plays wonderfully . This guitar doesn't sound great. Most likely because of the amp he's playing through. Godin guitars are fine. Science at work and all. Solid product. 2/3 of an electric guitars sound is the amp. So, genius at work and all but the sound ? Not so smokin'. IMO and YMMV not to mention etc.
