    The earliest known recording is by Matelot Ferret c1960 - this was on an EP that also contained the other early Django compositions Choti, Gagoug, and Chez Jacquet. Then in the late 60s or early 70s Bousquet recorded it with a slightly different and more modern B part and called it "Valse a Django". I think that most modern players play this version. IMO the definitive version is Boulou and Elios Ferre playing it in Favino's guitar shop in the "Django Legacy" documentary. I've never heard it played with more force and drive.
