The Southbank Centre in London is marking Coleridge Goode's 100th birthday on 29 November with a concert celebrating his life in music.

No word on the website on whether he plans to attend.

Are any of Django's other accompanists still with us?

Met him a few years ago. A real gentleman. I stood in exactly the place Django sat when he visited Coleridge's apartment in 1946. Right here -

Does he live in Crouch End? He used to play at the Sunday jam at the King's Head a few years ago.

No it was not Crouch End. He just played there regularly. He has/had lived in the same place since before Django went to see him in 1946. Unusual for Coleridge to mix socially with his fellow musicians (he wasn't always too keen on their lifestyles) and Django could be rather standoffish so something special must have clicked between them.

I think he he still lived in the same place until a couple of years ago but now he is 100, perhaps he has had to move.
