    Was the pickup added on after? Also, can't tell the condition of the top, and neck from the photo.

    The pickup was added after the photo. In terms of nicks and scratches, it's in excellent condition -- all original parts.

    If you really concidering trading that guitar to a gypsy guitar then it better be on the >10k price range of guitars :) That DeArmond 1100 pickup can be worth 1000 dollars alone :) Why not just keep that beauty and buy a decent 2k gypsy guitar?
