Gypsy Picking - Upstroke

My only problem with the floating hand is picking up. When trying to do a tremolo or even steady picking on one string, my pick gets stuck on up strokes often or it feels a bit awkward. It seems there's more momentum for down picks with this technique. Any advice for getting comfortable with the up pick when doing single string tremolos ????

single string trems should be similar to any trem you have done before except since I presume your hand was not floating it is now. Just practice it, it should fall into place fairly quickly

Slow most of the time and fast for a wee bit then back to slow.
