Fun concert saw them in Santa Barbara, certainly worth going, Samson was there as well as Ludovic Beier who of course is worth the entrance alone.

Great show last night to finish off the month long tour of The Django All Stars featuring Dorado Schmitt. Dorado was the ultimate showman, with an awesome late Django guitar sound, playing an F hole gypsy guitar (violin, too) through a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp and even singing one song masterfully. Amati played some incredible guitar including great ensemble passages with Dorado, and Ludovic Beier was the master on accordion. I was really impressed with Francko Mehrstein and his solid, swinging rhythm style. Of course everybody played well and the set list was predominately classics including Honeysuckle Rose, Djangology and even Minor Swing. One guitar note: I noticed both Dorado and Amati had American style fret markers on their gypsy guitars, while Francko preferred the French style.
