A friend of mine has just told me about a new film called "My old Lady" - Kevin Kline, Maggie Smith and Kristin Scott-Thomas. Not the stuff Oscars are made of but thought provoking re infidelity and its long term fallout. His favourite bit was Maggie Smith talking about the fling she'd had with Django Reinhardt in the 1940s...Who knew? ;-)

Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."
Haha... True true. The timing is a bit off as I think she was still a teen when Django died in his mid 50's.
But if they were nearer in age, he'd definitely have taken an interest. My wife and I saw something she'd done back in the day. We both thought: "That's... Professor McGonagal?"
Young Maggie was all that...
IMHO

Wish it were so...
