I'm going this year to Samois, my first time! I'm thrilled...
I want to stay at the campsite too, but I don't know if there's a difference between Samois campsite and Samoreau? And also does anyone know if i need to make like a reservation to camp?

Wim I'm gonna stay in Paris for two weeks after Samois, would be great to jam!

    cheers!

Yes you do. My advice is: book asap, the campsites will be packed during the festival, and they can get full surprisingly early.

AJL Guitars' crew (incl. me) will stay at Le Country Club. And as usual, we have our stand at the festival island. Already looking forward to seeing many of you there again.

Hey Jazmin that's great you're coming! There is a difference and Samoreau is the one you want, you do need to make a reservation with the Gardienne du Camping Municipal de Samoreau .. last year that was a lady named Nathalie GAUTHIER, probably she will handle it this year as well. Better write your email in French because her English is not good.

    http://www.samoreau.fr/la-mairie/camping/

Get on it soon because they can be very slow to respond (last time I made the reservation in mid feb and didn't get confirmation until about march 28..). If you don't get a reservation or response from camping Samoreau just come anyway, we will find a way to fit you in :) Do you know if Enrique is coming too?

I may have to hold you to that Wim if I can't get a reservation.

Kimmo, thank you for your advice!

    Wim thank you so much!
This is great information, i'm writing right away... hope they understand my poor french though.
I hope there's still room for me at Samoreau :)

I really appreciate the help, and I hope to meet many of you there!

    Can't wait!..

The website has been updated with more info on hotels and a link to camping info. Tickets are on sale as well. As another first timer I assume we should get tickets ASAP as well? As far as bringing a guitar, I'm thinking of buying one there but with taxes, traveling, etc. not sure it's a good idea. Look forward to meeting new friends there.

Anyone know the best way to get from De Gaulle Airport to Fontainbleu? My wife wants to take a cab to avoid the stress of the trains and a foreign language. We're flying in from Dublin so it will be a long day before we get there. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Michael, on my last trip to Fontainbleu, I took a cab from De Gaulle to the station at Gare de Lyon and then took the train down to Font from there. It went very smoothly and was relatively easy. Good luck with trip.

I got a strange answer phone message - seemed to say Petit Barberau was not going to be open - I havent had much luck with emails from on the other side @ Samoreau

I am going to try to ring over the weekend.

Has anyone else had problems with Petit Barbeau ?
