Yep, I get that. My question is, what happens when you play a guitar marked at the 9th fret?
Logically, I get the impression that one would see the marker, and move the finger(s) to the marked fret expecting a natural note, but in reality a flattened note would happen...is that about right?

I've been playing a jazz guitar with a 9th fret marker a lot over the last couple of weeks. I think I try to ignore the 9th fret marker as it can throw me off if I concentrate on the side markers too much.
